Hours: Full-time

Shift: Day - weekend, holiday, on-call. Will be in hospital on call rotation including weekends & holidays

Southcoast Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Oncologist to join our esteemed team consisting of 8 Physicians supported by 5 Advanced Practice Practitioners. The successful candidate will contribute to our tradition of practice excellence and play a pivotal role in advancing patient care in our community.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat cancers using therapies like chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted treatments while developing and monitoring personalized treatment plans while addressing side effects and providing supportive care in both the inpatient and outpatient areas.
  • Partner with a multidisciplinary team, including surgeons and radiation oncologists, to provide holistic care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and referring physicians regarding care plans and progress.


Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification/eligibility in Medical Oncology with completion of a US residency.
  • Current state medical license and DEA registration.
  • Demonstrated clinical excellence, patient satisfaction, and effective communication skills.
