Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Contract Grant Assistant for the Research & Sponsored Programs.
The Office for Research's mission is to support the research, scholarship, and creative endeavors of all Rutgers faculty. The Office accomplishes its mission by convening with academic and research leaders, providing integrated, user-focused resources, services, and tools, and partnering with faculty.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Assists the Contract Analyst / Subaward Specialists of Research & Sponsored Programs (RSP) with the management, issuance and modification of subawards and associated POs related to contractual or other agreements involving sponsored programs and research processed through RSP.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in an administrative function or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of work organization, coordination, and facilitation.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |
- Demonstrated critical thinking / problem solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments at the same time.
- Must be attentive to detail and able to enter data efficiently and with accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Two years of subaward issuance experience.
- Experience working in a research active university environment.
- Basic knowledge of Uniform Guidance principles.
- Specialized education / training in subaward issuance.
- Practical experience in research administration guidelines and procedures

Immunization Requirements
