DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Highway Foreman 2, you will lead a skilled team of equipment operators and laborers in effectively using heavy construction equipment and hand tools for highway maintenance. Your expertise is crucial in delivering high-quality maintenance and repairs.

You will take charge of planning and coordinating projects that ensure the safety and reliability of our roadways. Your leadership will play a key role in upholding the infrastructure of our community. You will address highway-related complaints swiftly and expertly manage traffic control in work zones. Your commitment to maintaining a safe work environment is paramount. By strictly following safety procedures, you will promote awareness of work area conditions and implement preventive measures against accidents. In the rare event of an injury or accident, you will act decisively to secure prompt medical treatment and ensure safety, minimizing the risk of further incidents.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience as a Highway Foreman 1; or
  • Two years of experience in the performance of lead work or skilled tradesman duties on a highway maintenance or construction project; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirement:
  • This position requires possession of a valid Class C Pennsylvania Driver's License.
Additional Requirements:
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
