ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES: AVP, COMMUNICATIONS: The AVP, Communications, will play the role of Client Partner for a portfolio of diverse accounts, and report to the VP Communications Americas, will be responsible for the following: Deliver Revenue, Margin and TCV Growth: * Own the achievement of the revenue, margins, and total contract value (TCV) targets identified for the Americas Communications & Media business * Find growth pathways and plans to further deepen the Cognizant footprint within our client base * Drive profitable growth of the account relationship through identifying and overseeing the closure of new, renewal, and expansion opportunities * Stewardship of the shift to selling industry solutions that bring together technology practice capabilities * Collaborates and partners with business unit leadership to devise effective short and long-term plans * Creates actionable goals that make it possible to turn that mission into tangible results Complex Solutioning: * Direct planning and execution of winning sales strategies on complex engagements that addresses stakeholder management, and competitive differentiation. Manage Team Performance: * Builds, directs, and inspires a diverse and multi-disciplinary team of client relationship managers * Collaborate and support Markets and Delivery on escalations and troubleshoot delivery challenges as required * Collaborate with Client Partners in the unit, and support new business acquisition in the Communications & Media unit Qualifications and Experience: * Current Client Partner for Communications & Media Market with specific industry background in North America * Overall experience 20+ years. Minimum experience of Sales Management of 10+ years at senior levels * Candidate must have experience of managing multiple clients, and demonstrated ability of rapidly growing business with a portfolio size of a minimum $100+ Million, by winning proactive large and strategic $100+M deals in the Communications & Media Market * Candidate must have experience of opening new client logos in the Communications & Media Market * Experience of building a diversified business portfolio across IT, Business Operations and Network buying centres * Candidate must have experience in supporting clients through M&A and/or divestures, and demonstrated ability of working with private equity invested companies to accelerate TSA exists * Ability to build, lead a diverse team and operate effectively in a matrix structure * Specific track record in building and leading successful teams is essential * Demonstrated ability to build and execute business strategies * Candidate must have experience in complex deal creation utilizing consultative sales attributes, and leadership abilities LEADERSHIP ATTRIBUTES: * Good communication and interpersonal skills to support COO/CTO/CIO/CDO and senior level business stakeholder discussions and relationships * Strong strategic and business mindset * Articulates the company's mission, vision, and objectives concisely that can speak to clients and employees at all levels * Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities EDUCATION: * BS/BA required; Master's degree is preferred.
