Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Research Associate
III for the Anesthesiology Department within New Jersey Medical School.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Participate in experimental design; carries out experiments specific to mu opioid receptor mechanisms.
- Carry out various technical and research operations relating to electrophysiology, patch clamp techniques.
- Compile and present statistical data with appropriate conclusions and recommendations.
- Instruct students, fellows and technicians in various procedures, to carry out assignments in the laboratory.
- Assist in the preparation of grant applications for the funding of research activities.
- Understand and adhere to Rutgers' compliance standards as they appear in RBHS's Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.
- Keep abreast of all pertinent federal, state and Rutgers' regulations, laws and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.

- Master's Degree in a relevant science plus one (1) year of related research experience.
- Or a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant science plus two (2) years of related research experience.
