This position is located in the Financial Services Directorate (FSD). The incumbent is responsible for the maintenance, operation, and interpretation of large volumes of financial data required by complex operations, thereby permitting better internal control, and interrelating efforts and products with other administrative processes such as budget formulation, systems analysis, and overall financial management.

Plans and conducts studies in conjunction with other personnel. Performs prescribed audit functions, which are based on precedents, and uses standard evaluation techniques. Conducts audits of documents or internal operating financial systems. Adapts methods and techniques to solve a variety of problems that occur. Evaluates financial systems, policies, procedures, functions, and transactions to ascertain the integrity, effectiveness and productivity of the assigned operation and systems. Reviews specific financial operations, documents, and activities to determine fiscal compliance with governing regulations, operating procedures, and controls. Gathers and evaluates internal operating program data to determine whether an entity acquires, protects, and uses its resources economically and efficiently; the extent the program has achieved the desired results or benefits; the effectiveness of the organizations, programs, and activities; and whether an entity is complying with law and regulations applicable to the program.
