POSITION SUMMARY

Travel Required for 50% of the schedule

Responsible for retrieving medical records to support various internal programs, including but not limited to Medicare Risk Adjustment, Individual and Family Plan (IFP) Risk Adjustment, and HEDIS/Stars. This individual will be responsible for outreach to providers and third-party vendors, traveling to provider offices to retrieve records, as well as administrative tasks associated with the delivery of records received.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Responsible for adhering to HIPPA guidelines to ensure privacy and security of any and all PHI from start to completion of the retrieval process.
  • Coordinate and document the medical record retrieval process for assigned provider offices.
  • Outreach to provider offices and/or third-party vendors to obtain requested records.
  • Travel to provider offices to pull, pickup and/or extract medical records from the provider's Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Establish and maintain relationships with provider office managers and clinicians, while limiting provider abrasion.
  • Manage receipt of records requested and administer tasks associated with delivering charts to internal client, such as: sorting/renaming files, splitting/merging PDFs, converting records to the correct file type, etc.
  • Exercise efficient time management skills while operating under strict deadlines.
  • Work independently and efficiently offsite, with no supervision, while representing company brand.
  • Complete projects and assignments as requested, sometimes on short notice, requiring reprioritization of workload.
  • Maintain utmost security on medical records that are required to be transferred from providers' offices to their eventual destinations.
  • Quickly learn new software types and proficiently extract records accordingly.
  • Use appropriate skills to identify needs, offer appropriate solutions, overcome objections, seek closure to issues and provide meaningful feedback to management team or the provider offices when needed.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;
  • other business and organizational needs.

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
