Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical Bookkeeper / Accountant to join our team. This role is responsible for managing complex accounting functions, including deferred revenue, journal entries, and month-end reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with amortization schedules, tax provisions, and advanced Excel functions. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and record journal entries, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting. Manage deferred revenue calculations and recognize revenue over 12-month periods. Perform month-end closing tasks, including financial reconciliations and reporting. Calculate and record amortization schedules for intangible assets and long-term software contracts. Ensure proper monthly expense allocation across an asset's useful life for each contract. Utilize QuickBooks and Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, LOOKUPS) for financial data management. Assist with tax provisions and ensure compliance with accounting regulations. Work closely with the finance team to maintain accurate financial records and reporting. Qualifications & Experience: Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel (Pivot Tables, LOOKUPS). Experience in deferred revenue accounting and amortization schedules. Solid understanding of month-end closing processes and tax provisions. Ability to work independently and manage complex financial data. This role does not involve payroll or lower-level accounting tasks.
