LOCATION: Prescott, Arizona

STATUS: FT40 hrs/wk (30hrs Driving/10hrs Maintenance - may shift depending on season & need)

QUALIFICATIONS



  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be able to obtain Food Handlers Permit
  • 21 years of age with a current Arizona Drivers License with a clean driving record
  • Must be able to pass The Salvation Army Fleet Safety e-learning
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Be outgoing and comfortable initiating conversation with strangers/public on behalf of The Salvation Army
  • Ability to act in a professional manner with a good attitude and language conducive to The Salvation Army's mission.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Driver



  • Set up/tear down/ transport equipment used for events
  • Assist with pickup, delivery and distribution of donations as needed.
  • Respond to calls from staff and agencies regarding pick up or drop off of supplies
  • Pick up and deliver donations as needed
  • Pick up food from various locations as scheduled
  • Submit receipts, reports, and Driver Logs on a regular basis
  • Unload and separate donated food and take temperatures as directed
  • Clean truck weekly
  • Help keep Salvation Army food service carts in good working order at all times
  • Help keep records of all incoming food by dating the outside of the cases (or units) with the proper received date rotating stock on a regular basis as needed
  • Work with volunteers assigned to helping on the truck and/or the food pantry
  • Holiday Season driving duties as assigned
  • Unload assigned vehicle daily
  • Load vehicle with supplies for delivery to assigned locations
  • Repot any vehicle concerns to supervisor


Maintenance



  • Assist with maintenance projects as assigned, including but not limited to light plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, painting, drywall, landscaping, etc.
  • Conduct grounds inspections twice and week and pick up litter throughout the property as needed.
  • Comply with all PTM, OSHA, fire and safety rules at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned as they relate to the position of Driver/Maintenance


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to operate telephone, a desktop or laptop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer, and to understand written information.
