Job Summary:
This position is part of the Environmental Health Division at the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene (WSLH), located on the east side of Madison (off campus). WSLH serves as the public, environmental, and occupational health laboratory for the state of Wisconsin, and is associated with the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. The employee in this position will assist in a project of wastewater-based epidemiology by monitoring wastewater influent for SARS-CoV-2 gene targets as well as other fecal indicators or pathogens from wastewater treatment facilities throughout Wisconsin. Responsibilities: Performs testing services within a microbiology laboratory including human, animal, and plant diagnostics, surveillance, screening, environmental monitoring, and forensic science to report clear and concise testing results.

Work Type: Full Time: 100% Appointment Type, Duration: Ongoing/Renewable Salary: Minimum $49,000 ANNUAL (12 months) Minimum salary is $49,000/year. Actual salary is to be determined upon hire and dependent on qualifications.
