Senior Electrical Systems Engineer

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and multidiscipline teams to define, develop, and deliver new cooling systems products containing embedded PC/PLC controls, user interface display, and other critical electrical components
  • Develop electrical system concepts, along with creation of prototypes to evaluate performance of the system to addresses the needs of our customers
  • Create system layouts, perform electrical analysis and maintain system schematics
  • Conduct research into integration of new technologies, sensors, and components to improve and enhance the performance our products
  • Perform product and component testing to demonstrate reliable performance and quality of new solutions
  • Engage with both engineering peers and customers to investigate and resolve product performance issues
  • Perform controller and software updates
  • Collaborate with the Factory and Supply Management team members in support of ongoing manufacturing activities, and value improvement opportunities
YOU HAVE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Electrical Control Systems product design and development
  • Experience with the selection, integration, and testing of electrical components, drives, and motors
  • Experience with communication protocols like Modbus, TCP/IP, CAN or other serial communication protocols
  • Demonstrated record of conducting root cause analysis to troubleshoot system issues and resolve problems
  • Familiarity with NEMA, NEC, UL, IEC standards preferred
  • Knowledge of high power conversion: AC to DC up to 5000 watts preferred
  • Knowledge in Data Center Infrastructure Monitoring (DCIM) software preferred

Pay Transparency

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range:

$89,300.00 - $165,800.00

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
