DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Administrative Officer 1, you will be responsible for overseeing the Community Service (S2C) Program and all related activities. These tasks will include setting the program metrics and outcomes, evaluating progress, making necessary improvements, and establishing partnerships with local organizations to provide volunteer and educational opportunities for cadets to benefit the community. You will also handle logistical considerations, such as identifying volunteer opportunities, scheduling activities, and staffing needs. You will play a role in public relations by conducting campus tours and creating itineraries for visiting dignitaries. You will streamline processes and find more efficient ways to prepare for inspections. The Administration Officer 1 position also provides quality control to other departments for entry of data into the cadet information system. This position requires a high level of independent judgement and self-motivation, as well as the ability to take initiative and make decisions within the established policies and procedures. - Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 45-minute lunch.
- Telework: Work from home (telework) is generally not available for this position but may be permitted as necessary. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must possess a valid class C driver's license.
- You must possess a valid federal or state-issued photo ID and pass a favorable NCIC screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap.
- All employees of the KSCA will be required to have background checks equivalent to anyone working in a school that may have direct contact with students.
- Pennsylvania School Law requires that all applicants for employment in public and private schools, employees of independent contractors seeking business with public and private schools, and student teacher candidates undergo background checks if they will have direct contact with students. In addition, employment history reviews must be completed for all applicants seeking employment.
- The following three background checks are required:
- Department of Human Services Child Abuse History Clearance
- Pennsylvania State Police Request for Criminal Records Check
- Federal Criminal History Record Information (CHRI)
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Office management/staff work experience
- Customer service experience
- Process management experience
- Experience interacting with executive level leadership and dignitaries
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite programs
- Experience managing databases and confidential information
- Experience providing statistical reports from a database to leadership
