The Division of Enrollment Management at Rutgers University-New Brunswick (
EMNB) is comprised of seven student-facing and administrative units: Undergraduate Admissions, the Office of Financial Aid, the Office of the Registrar, and the One Stop Student Services Center, as well as business, information technology, and strategy and analytics administrative teams. The division employs over 100 full-time staff and an additional 200+ student employees to fulfill its mission. Posting Summary |
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking an Admissions Officer for The Undergraduate Admissions Office in The Division of Enrollment Management.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Travels primarily within the states of DE, MD, VA but also within a select NJ market to recruit students at college fairs, high school visits and other recruitment events.
- Conducts information sessions, presentations, and counseling sessions at high schools, colleges and other facilities to meet students, families and school/college personnel for the purpose of recruiting and enrolling international students.
- Communicates and develops relationships with high school and university personnel, internal Rutgers academic and administrative units, alumni, etc., in coordinating recruitment activities.
- Helps coordinate efforts for regional recruiters (supplies, recruitment and yield plans, market reports, etc.).
- Reviews applications from undergraduate applicants to the university.
- Prepares reports, reviews applicant data, creates and maintains databases, conducts web research, organizes mailings or emails, and perform related duties as needed.
- Assists and supports on other projects as needed.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree.
- Two (2) years of experience, preferably in a college admissions or high school setting.

Certifications/Licenses |
- A valid driver's license would be required for this position; Use of personal vehicle in order to travel for business demands.

- Ability to handle considerable and varied responsibilities in a fast-paced complex environment.

Immunization Requirements
Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals, if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
