Join our team as an IDS Pharmacist, reporting to the Director of Investigation Drug Services. In this role, you will collaborate with principal investigators and research teams to ensure the efficient and accurate provision of investigational products and information. You will serve as a trusted resource for healthcare staff, providing drug information, educational in-services, and support in patient monitoring and medication management.

As a key liaison, you will work closely with clinical trial teams, serving as a lead Pharmacist for protocols, assisting in procedure and policy development, and representing pharmacy as a subject matter expert of pharmacy services to support clinical trial research. You will also mentor pharmacy residents and students and collaborate with the Institutional Review Board (IRB) on study-related concerns.

This position involves direct patient interactions, and collaboration with research teams providing protocol consultation, management of investigational products (IP), IP preparation and dispensing, as well as, quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with guidelines and regulations. You will also interact with pharmaceutical manufacturers/sponsors of trials to support optimal pharmaceutical care and facilitate monitoring visits by sponsors or designees.

Requirements:




  • Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacyresulting in Pharm D. degree, or BS
  • Completion of an ASHP accredited residency program or equivalent experience is desired
  • Current licensure as a pharmacist in the State of Maryland required
  • Intravenous (IV) Certification (includes aseptic technique and hazardous substance handling)within 90 days of hire, HIPPA compliance training, IRBrequiredtraining, and Department ofTransportation training for shipping of hazardous drugs
  • Three years progressive hospital experience with responsibility for the supervision ofpharmacy personnel is desired
  • A minimum of one year of IDS experiencepreferred


Salary Range: Minimum 50.27 per hour - Maximum 83.01 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
