The NCC is a part of the division of Epidemiology and Community Health within the School of Public Health at the University of Minnesota. NCC has developed and maintains a research-quality food and nutrient database linked to a Windows-based interview system, the Nutrition Data System for Research (NDSR). The system is designed primarily for clinical and epidemiological studies investigating relationships between diet and health and evaluating interventions to improve nutrition.

NCC is committed to the University's goal of creating a positive and inclusive campus climate by advancing equity and diversity.

The NCC is an interdisciplinary group of individuals including registered dietitians, database scientists, dietary interviewers, and a computer programmer. The Dietary Interviewer will work with the NCC Service Center team which provides a variety of nutrient analysis and data collection services to support the needs of researchers. The tentative target start date for this position is March 24, 2025. New hires will be required to attend a two-day Nutrition Data System for Research (NDSR) training April 7th and 8th via Zoom from 9am-5pm CT.

  • 20% - Data entry of dietary intake records into NDSR software program
