We are seeking an experienced Design for Manufacturing Architect to join our NPI Manufacturing Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background with 7+ years of experience in the design and manufacture of modular designs or building block components. This role is crucial in pushing nVent's designs to a new level of modularity and ensuring our manufacturing processes can support these innovative designs efficiently.

Build standards and requirements for nVent's Data Solutions business around modular designs and manufacturing
Collaborate with multi-functional teams to integrate modular designs into existing and new products.
Drive innovation in modular design to improve product flexibility and scalability.
Ensure manufacturing processes are optimized to support modular designs.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to the engineering team.
Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in modular design and manufacturing.
Create CBB (Common Building Block) standards and lead implementation with product design to reduce cost and development cycle time
Work closely with engineering and supply chain to identify potential suppliers for core components, such as pumps, heat exchangers, sensors, pipes/hoses/quick connectors, valves, expansion tanks, etc.
Provide guidance to drive modular common design, manufacturing, assembly, service, and UX across all products as part of the Standard Product Portfolio.
Act as the point of contact to engage across teams to establish cohesive design objectives.
YOU HAVE:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field required, Master's degree preferred
Minimum of 7 years of experience in modular design and manufacturing.
Proven track record of successful modular design projects.
Experience with complex cooling systems (HVAC, Liquid cooling distribution) preferred
Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and techniques.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Experience with CAD software and other design tools preferred
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to modular design preferred

Pay Transparency

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range:

$89,300.00 - $165,800.00

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
