What you will do:

• Customer Sales and Service:
  
  
  
  • Develop trusted relationships with assigned farmer-customers to earn preferred seed supplier status through frequent, proactive customer contact
  • Work with seed growers on production contracts, field inspections and crop plans
  • Become a certified wheat seed expert and educate customers how to properly position our other related small grains seed products
  
  
  
  
• Territory Development
  
  
  
  • Develop business plan to exceed sales goals for each product line
  • Achieve sales goals by product line
  • Accurately identify and forecast product needs of customers and manage inventory
  • Participate in field days, community events, and other activities that promote Nutrien
  • Communicate the value proposition of certified seed and seed treatment to growers
  • Implement market development activities, including testimonials, field signs, stand evaluations, pre-harvest evaluations
  
  
  
  
• Product Knowledge
  
  
  
  • Learn the features and benefits of the products to correctly position the best product on the acre for the growers to maximize their profit
  
  
  
  

What you will bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Crop Protection or related. Equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree.
• 1+ years work experience or an industry internship
• CCA preferred, or commitment to work toward CCA
• Microsoft Office or equivalent software knowledge
• Willingness to travel overnight and late evenings
