Position Summary: The Dining Room Lead & Floater are to assist in the kitchen and dining room with all aspects of the food service process and rotate to fill in for duties and responsibilities. Essential Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing foods by performing general kitchen tasks as directed
- Cook, trim, portion, carve, bake, etc. portion meals, vegetables, salads, breads, desserts, etc.
- Fry, boil, broil, roast and steam meat, poultry and/or vegetables
- Help with unloading supplies
- Clean oven racks at the direction of the cooks and or food service manager
- Clean serving line, counters, tables, floors and any other assigned areas
- Responsible for the operation of the dishwash, filling in daily chart of wash and rinse temperatures
- Scrape, stack and rise all dishes. Rack up dishes and put through dishwasher
- Wash all pots and pans
- Return clean dishes and kitchen items to the proper storage areas
- Clean dishwasher machine after each use
- Sweep and mop dish room daily, keeping mop clean and in place
- Clean dishwashing rooms, sinks and counters after each meal
- Empty all garbage cans after each meal in dish room, dining room and kitchen
- Keep back porch area around the dumpsters clean and orderly
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications: Education/Experience:
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
- Must be able to lift/unload/move food and supplies
- Must be able to lift dishes to their storage location
- Must be able to use kitchen equipment safely
- Must be available for flexible schedule with some long days of up to but not limited to 12 hours
- Must be able to operate electrical and mechanical equipment and operate a commercial dishwasher
Computer Skills:
- Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office 365
- Working knowledge of TEAMS and SharePoint
- Willingness to learn new software as needed
Certificates and Licenses:
- Complete Safe From Harm training, and keep current as needed
