About the Job: The Internal Audit Data Analyst will work with a multidisciplinary team to design and develop innovative analytical products and solutions using advanced analytics and data mining. You will use your critical thinking and problem solving skills to assist in developing new approaches to complex business problems and thus make an impact on the company's success. You should have the flexibility to work with ambiguity and changing business priorities. What You'll Do:
- Collaborate with Internal Audit management team and audit team members, and others within the Company, to understand business needs and translate them into established business goals and measures of success.
- Under supervision, and collaborating with team members, provide creative solutions to comprehensively determine and execute plans to build, implement, and maintain applications. Develop and maintain business requirements documentation, including existing processes, desired improvements, and functional and technical specifications.
- Participate in meetings and workshops with stakeholders to gather requirements, discuss solutions, and make decisions.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions.
- Develop Alteryx workflows, SQL database objects, Tableau dashboards, and other analytical objects.
- Alongside Data Analytics peers, work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT Audit, Business Audit, and the business, to ensure successful project delivery.
- Provide recommendations and solutions to address business challenges and opportunities.
- Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and technologies related to business analysis and process improvement.
- Responsible for QA, testing and continuous improvement with the help of Data Analytics peers and stakeholder feedback.
Qualifications
Skills You'll Need:
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems Management, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- Internship or prior experience work experience in data science, business analytics, IT, or a related technical field.
- Proficiency working with Excel, SQL, VBA and data visualization tools (Tableau preferred).
- Experience with data analytic tools like Alteryx, ACL, IDEA, or KNIME.
- Experience retrieving data from MSSQL and Oracle databases.
- Experience with data visualization (Tableau preferred).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with users at all levels of the organization.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering high-quality support services.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
- Ability to travel up to 5%-10%.
