OverviewWe are looking for Senior Product Manager - Linux to join our team! Our group is responsible for the Linux operating systems that power Azure - from VMs and containers, to bare metal, and silicon - in the cloud and at the edge. We work closely with upstream communities, with software and hardware vendors, OEMs, Linux distribution partners, and with hundreds of customers inside and outside Microsoft to create and operate OS platforms and products with the highest security, hardware-accelerated performance, and innovation agility. More than 30% of our team is remote, and women make up more than 40% of the Linux team. Our team prides itself on its diverse and inclusive hybrid team culture.Azure's Linux partner ecosystem is fundamental to Azure's success. In this role you will engage with our endorsed distribution partners at the engineering level to deliver new features, hardware support, manage distribution lifecycles on Azure, and work collaboratively to enhance the Linux experience on Azure. You'll be an advocate for the distributions and open source within Microsoft, as well as represent Azure to the Linux communities. ResponsibilitiesYou will drive alignment and collaboration between Linux distro partners and Azure servicesYou will work with teams across Microsoft to plan, prioritize, and deliver on the roadmap for features and lifecycle needs that enable partner distributions and customersYou will identify areas where Microsoft can meaningfully engage with and contribute to upstream open source projects and communities.You will enable sustainability of customer solutions by providing or updating documentation, best practices, and guidelines as well as advocating for improvements in support processes.You will proactively work with partners across the ecosystem to identify and obtain certifications, and security benchmarks, to meet or exceed customer requirements. | |
