Overview

The Provider Enrollment Specialist will assist the Company's Legal Department by enrolling and tracking Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer provider applications as well as re-validations and re-credentialing applications. In addition, the Provider Enrollment Specialist may be asked to work with the Licensing Department to complete facility licensure applications.



Responsibilities

    Works with people across multiple disciplines to obtain information needed to compile, submit, complete accurate provider applications and renewals
  • Coordinates and maintains a tracking database for provider contracts, re-validation, re-credentialing, and enrollment applications as well as correspondence
  • Supports company Business Development Team in connection with corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions
  • Interacts externally with various federal and state agencies, government payers, and managed care organizations
  • Adheres to company and governmental guidelines with respect to confidential and protected health information
  • Work Accounts Receivable department and/or operations to resolve billing issues
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • General Education Diploma or High School Diploma; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PDF Converter
  • Prior experience in the health care or managed care industry is desirable
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize multiple assignments
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully communicate with people from all levels within the organization as well as with external parties, including government contacts
  • Familiarity with government regulations and legal research
  • Knowledge of the Medicaid and Medicare programs
  • A desire to work collaboratively in a small, dedicated Legal Department
  • Ability to work independently and with highly confidential information
  • Consistent demonstration of accuracy, thoroughness and timeliness in completing assignments
