Position Overview

Pantheon Data has a need for a Marine Electronics Engineer - Journeyman to support a major surface acquisition program for the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG). The selected candidate will work as part of a dynamic cross-functional team to support the design and development of Coast Guard ships and boats.

Responsibilities

• Conduct design of electric and electronic systems, study power generation and distribution, centralized machinery monitoring and control.
• Applying knowledge of and experience with engineering principles and techniques to develop and evaluate moderately complex technical reports related to application of C5I systems onboard USCG ships.
• Reviewing and evaluating the effect of new and/or modified electronics on overall system performance.
• Review and adjudicate system design specifications, test requirements, Departures from Specification (DFS's), Request for Waiver (RFW), Engineering Changes (EC's). Familiarity with USN, USCG, ABS and/or commercial ship design rules and regulations.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' of documented experience integrating C5I systems in one of the (three preferred) following categories:
  Cybersecurity, Command and Control,
  Navigation, Networking, Internal
  Communications, External Communications,
  Sensors, Combat Systems, or Intelligence
  Systems.
• Meets Required DoD IAT Level II Baseline Certification Requirements.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Previous experience with shipboard and defense C5I systems preferred.

Education

Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in a Technical, Engineering, or Marine field

Clearance Requirements

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Work Location: Hybrid - two (2) days a week at USCG HQ (DHS St. Elizabeth's Campus in D.C.)

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
