Position Overview

Pantheon Data has a need for a Senior Marine Electrical Engineer to support our program at the United States Coast Guard - Surface Forces Logistics Center. This person will work within the Maritime Lifecycle Readiness group to provide engineering support to the United States Coast Guard - Surface Forces Logistics Center.

Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct design, analysis, studies, evaluation, and recapitalization of electrical circuits, power monitoring and control systems, electric propulsion, and power generation.
• Lead and conduct performance studies, and develop reports, drawings or specifications relating to electrical power and generation.
• Evaluate effect of new or modified electronics on overall system performance.
• Review and adjudicate system design specifications, test requirements, Departures from Specification (DFS's), Request for Waiver (RFW), Engineering Changes (EC's).

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 10 years' documented experience working in one of the following specialized fields: electric propulsion, machinery control, power generation or distribution systems.
• Knowledge of U.S. Navy Power Distribution Architecture.
• Knowledge of USN, USCG, ABS and/or commercial ship design rules and regulations.
  

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience with Government or commercial shipbuilding programs preferred.

Education

Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in a Technical, Engineering, or Marine field

Clearance Requirements

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Work Location: USCG Surface Forces Logistics Center, Glen Burnie, MD - Hybrid - four (4) days a week.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $115,000 - $125,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
