ABOUT THE JOB (JOB BRIEF)

  • Support corporate Line of Business (LOB) and Corporate Real Estate Solutions (CRES) Corporate Design Group function by providing design solutions that support and enhance corporate strategies/initiatives with speed to market approaches on a consistent and repeatable basis.
  • Manage and coordinate LOB requests for corporate initiatives that come to bear on the physical aspects of the nationwide corporate workplace network with primary job duties across the company's corporate footprint.
  • Facilitate and monitor the conceptualization, test fit and preliminary space planning design analysis of various Corporate delivery systems to ensure sponsor intent is realized in final physical form. Emphasis in this role is placed on managing, coordination and general oversight of in-house and/or outsourced architectural and engineering disciplines for the work from initial contractual engagement, due diligence and preliminary design, design development to the completion of construction documentation with inclusion of some aspects of construction administration in responding to RFI's, mitigating and escalating project risk items, vendor coordination and validating project change orders and requests for additional funding.
  • Provide the Corporate Design Team with continuous improvement efforts relative to establishing, distributing, and monitoring applicable; finish and material corporate workplace design guidelines (a.k.a. standards), project procedures, sequencing and checklists, internal and external partner/vendor interface criteria and methodologies.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

- Delivering upon corporate design obligations efficiently and effectively with timely solutions that fit programming requirements on time, within budget and that foster a branded quality product.

- Actively participate in multiple weekly project status updating meetings via reporting; major project milestones, developments, milestones, next steps, risks, and issues throughout all the project design phases of the work.

- Participate in RFP processes as needed relative to partner/vendor services.

- Travel (local and national) as necessitated by project requirements and/or approved by project sponsors and CRES management.

- Facilitate and monitor the design phases and design analysis of various corporate delivery systems to ensure sponsor intent is realized in final physical form. Corporate space planning project types include, but are not limited to, the following;

Corporate Expansion into new space, Corporate remodels of existing space, other modifications to existing space (add office, convert spaces from one function to another, assist team with evaluation of job grade vs workspace allocation type, Others- TBD.

- Actively participate in development and continuous improvement of corporate workplace design guidelines (standards). Engage in the distribution and maintenance of corporate workplace space planning guidelines associated FF&E standards information via documenting facility layouts, finishes and policy/procedural methodologies for corporate project types noted above.

- Serve as CRES corporate design functional authority assisting with training and continuous education of existing and new consulting architects and engineers and/or existing and new corporate design group staff.

- Engage as a contributor in the role of CRES corporate design liaison for internal and external KeyBank partners. Internal and external partner relationships include, but are not limited to; LOB sponsors, ETO/Cabling, Marketing, Corporate Security, Corporate Procurement, Architects and Engineers and their partner consultants, Merchandising Professionals, FF&E vendors, JLL and their current occupancy system, CRES disciplines (Transactions, Relationship Management, Portfolio Management, PMO, Construction Management, Facilities Management).

- Provide design-based issue resolution between corporate banking community and CRES alliance partners.

- Assist Management with ongoing evaluation of self and team workload/project delegation to meet deliverable expectations.

- Project focus is primarily corporate space planning focused but may at times necessitate design allocation to fulfil retail design project roles as needed.

- Directs design activities through consultants in accordance with bank policies and procedures including work letter/proposal process, A&E selection, contributing to CRES annual goals for use of minority- and women-owned businesses.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree Interior Design or Architecture. 5-10 years of space planning or architectural experience.
  • Experience with space planning for national corporate entities preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent working knowledge of: Outlook or equivalent email/messaging system, Microsoft office products, Microsoft Edge or other internet browser application, AutoCAD (or equivalent CAD software) and Workday software. Knowledge of PDF editing tools (e.g. Blue Beam) or Adobe products (e.g., Illustrator or InDesign) a plus.
  • Ability to rapidly assimilate nuances of uploading and downloading information into Key's electronic document retention/interface system with provided in-house training.
  • Ability to travel to include potential overnight stays.

Key has implemented a role-based Mobile by Design approach to our employee workspaces, dedicating space to those whose roles require specific workspaces, while providing flexible options for roles which are less dependent on assigned workspaces and can be performed effectively in a mobile environment. As a result, this role may be mobile or home based, which means you may work either at a home office or in a Key facility to perform your job duties. Preferred location for the position is near Brooklyn, OH. If you are local to the Brooklyn, OH area, candidate will work in the office approximately 2 - 3 days a week. Team may be willing to consider candidates not local to Brooklyn, OH, however they will need to work on Eastern Standard Time Zone work hours and also travel approximately 3 - 5 days each month.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $80,000.00 to $95,000.00 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
