Pay Range USD $41,600.00 - USD $41,600.00 /Yr. Overview A Research Associate is being sought to provide support Dr. Stephanie Schuckers on various research projects. The immediate need is to support an awarded grant. This project will need Research Associate support starting 2/1/2025. Responsibilities The selected individual will explore research in the use of biological characteristics for human identification, particularly biometric recognition. The individual will have responsibility for the lead and development of current funded research, including, but not limited to: investigation and selection of equipment, experimental design, human subject data collections, data analysis/processing, programming, and algorithm development. Expertise in the development of algorithms for creating and detecting fake fingerprints and faces. In addition, the selected individual will be expected to publish and seek opportunities for grant funding. They will be expected to develop independent research tracks and obtain funding to support their research. Qualifications Education: Minimal Qualifications: PhD degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science/Engineering with knowledge in the areas of signal processing, pattern recognition and image/data processing. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the areas of deep learning is desirable.
