The City of Irvine is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated individual to join the Special Events team. This position will provide support to daily operations in addition to all aspects of City hosted events, from planning to execution. Candidates must have administrative experience with a strong customer service background and exceptional attention to details.

This is a part-time position, up to 19 hours a week. Hours are scheduled during Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Evening, weekends, and occasional holiday availability is required on an as-needed basis.

Interview: After a thorough review of applications, those candidates deemed most qualified as reflected in their application will be invited to an interview.

Background Check: A thorough background investigation will be conducted prior to appointment.

Medical Examination: A medical examination will be conducted, including a drug/alcohol screening and proof of a negative TB test to ensure the ability to perform assigned duties. Any applicant who tests positive or tampers with evidence shall be disqualified from consideration.

Future Vacancies: This recruitment may be used to fill future positions in similar and/or lower classifications within the organization.

Part-time employees are employed "at will" and their services can be discontinued without cause.
