Job Description The Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) invites applications and nominations for the position of Senior Budget Coordinator. This is a renewable, full-time, non-tenured, administrative position and reports to the Budget and Contract Director. The position is located in Reno or Las Vegas, Nevada. The NSHE is comprised of eight institutions: two universities, a state college, four community colleges and a research institute. The public system of higher education in Nevada continues to experience growth with significant challenges and opportunities in serving over 105,000 students and 15,000 employees. The Senior Budget Coordinator is responsible for the maintenance and reconciliation of all System Computing Services budgets and programs using Workday budget and accounting tools, comprehensive spreadsheets, and preparation and processing of journal vouchers, accounting adjustments, and budget amendments. On a very limited basis, this position may initiate and process requisitions and contracts on behalf of System Computing Services. This position will also be responsible for System Administration's review and processing of payment, purchasing, travel reimbursements, grant-in-aid (GIA) and scholarship documents, and reconciliation of System Administration accounts. The position is responsible for creating requisitions for some System Administration goods, service, and independent contractor purchase orders. This position may prepare and process journal vouchers, accounting adjustments, and budget amendments on behalf of System Administration. This position may be a Workday representative for SA Finance, as it relates to budget and financial transactions. STARTING SALARY: Grade C (Starting salary range is approximately: $65,000 - $75,000 and is commensurate with education, experience, and training.) APPROXIMATE STARTING DATE: March 1, 2025 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution and five (5) years of professional experience (or) a master's degree in relevant field with three (3) years of experience (or) associate's degree with seven (7) years of professional experience (or) the equivalent of ten (10) years of related professional experience.
