MRPT POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
The Finance Manager will oversee the day-to-day fiscal management processes necessary to operate the International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA) in Roswell, NM, to include any financial support for internal and external stakeholders. Primary Major Duties and Responsibilities Gather data and develop monthly expense reports Produce a variety of monthly fiscal tracking reports, including but not limited to: tracking purchase requests, recurring expenses, and credit card purchases Provide financial reports to leadership and team, as requested Oversee the budget process, a timely, inclusive, and collaborative process, optimizing and simplifying where possible Conduct or support external audits to ensure a smooth and timely annual organizational audit, and implement any process or operational changes recommended in the audit report The Finance Manager will also draft purchase requests track end use monitoring of procured equipment (based on government guidelines) Work with local subcontractors on billing and financial matters, serve as the credit card holder for ILEA Roswell, and manage cash withdrawals and distributions for per diem Utilize expense templates to collect, compile, and transmit all Other Direct Cost (ODC) expenses for training deliveries REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Required 5+ years of experience within financial management Ability to communicate effectively and possess professional customer service skills due to daily interaction with various levels of rank, authority, positions, both military and civilians, international and domestic. Experience working with a diverse and often conflicting group of stakeholders on politically sensitive programming initiatives. Knowledge of, and skill related to the development of professional correspondence and financial documentation for use by project and program managers.
