Job Summary
The Department of Political Science in the College of Liberal Arts is currently hiring a TES Administrative Support Associate. This role involves responsibilities such as:

  • Event Planning
  • Creating and distributing correspondence.
  • Operating standard office equipment such as personal computers, copiers, scanners, fax machines, etc.


Temporary Employment Services ( TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being:

  • Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time
  • Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads
  • Assistance with special projects
  • Seasonal work
  • Emergencies

Essential Functions

  • Event planning
  • Assists program head with a variety of high-level administrative/professional program support responsibilities.
  • Coordinates program/services activities to ensure relevant guidelines, specifications, policy and/or procedures are enforced and followed.
  • Provides information to and facilitates communication between administrators, faculty, staff, and students concerning program/services.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years experience in clerical and administrative support services.


To be eligible, an individual must meet all minimum requirements which are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities typically expected to be successful in the role.
