IP Networking Resident Engineer

Customer Services (CS) encompasses a wide range of customer-centric activities, including technical support, account support, operations, maintenance, network design, deployment, integration, transformation, and education. This family focuses on generating revenue and increasing customer satisfaction through all phases of the network lifecycle, from planning and design to deployment, integration, optimization, operation, and maintenance. Within CS, the NW Design & Optimization (NWD) subfamily specializes in planning and managing the planning of communication networks for customers. This includes consulting with customers on network performance, optimizing and managing the optimization of customer networks, and executing end-to-end design-related activities for deployment projects, such as address surveys, site surveys, design, and as-built documentation.

• Performs critical (sometimes escalated) design and performance activities in customer projects independently (complex problem solving in projects and multi-vendor environments).
• Develops / Reviews and makes recommendations on network-wide Design covering Performance, Spectrum & Capacity supported by Recommendations (within and across the region).
• Organizes field measurements and laboratory tests.
• Performs network audits, especially in cases where fault or problems exist.
• Optimizes networks with all components based on traffic trends and customer forecasts.
• Supports experts in developing network configuration file and interface analysis
• Develop network architecture and services designs with the best architecture available to support our customer's services.
• Produce network implementation and migration plans.
• Document configuration of equipment and services.
• Test and support networks in various stages of deployment.
• Provide recommendations to optimize the network operations and performance.
• Work with internal technical teams for product placement and feature improvements for reliability, availability, and serviceability.
