Inside the Role

The Kitting and Packaging Operations Lead will oversee the operations of the kitting and packaging lines during the afternoon shift. This role is integral in ensuring that production goals are met, quality standards are maintained, and new employees are effectively trained and supported. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, a commitment to continuous improvement, and the ability to foster a positive and productive team environment.

  • $2,000 sign on bonus!
  • Starting pay of $27.29/hr (includes shift differential)

Shift Details: Schedule is Monday through Thursday 4:30pm-3:00am

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership and Supervision:

  • Lead and manage a team of kitting and packaging line employees during the afternoon shift.
  • Monitor and evaluate employee performance, providing feedback and coaching to ensure optimal productivity.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for newer employees, ensuring they receive comprehensive training and support.

Training and Development:

  • Onboard and train new hires on standard operating procedures, safety protocols, and quality expectations.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with newer employees to address questions, provide guidance, and assess training progress.
  • Identify skill gaps and provide ongoing training opportunities to support employee development.

Operational Oversight:

  • Ensure that the kitting and packaging lines operate efficiently and meet daily production targets.
  • Monitor the workflow to identify and address bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
  • Collaborate with other shift leaders and supervisors to ensure a seamless transition between shifts.

Quality Assurance:

  • Enforce quality standards to ensure that all products meet company and customer specifications.
  • Conduct periodic quality checks and address any non-conformities in a timely manner.

Health and Safety:

  • Promote a culture of safety by enforcing company safety policies and practices.
  • Conduct safety briefings and ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations.
  • Report and address any safety incidents or hazards immediately.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and workflows, reducing waste and increasing efficiency.
  • Collaborate with management to implement best practices and innovative solutions.

Must be able to stand on concrete for entire shift with repetitive bending, stooping, twisting, reaching and lifting up to 75 pounds
