Position Overview

Pantheon Data is seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Senior Visual Information Designer to join our team. This position requires an experienced designer with a passion for developing visually compelling graphic art products across a wide range of media, including print, exhibits, web pages, digital audio/video, and online platforms. The ideal candidate will be an expert in visual communication, with a strong ability to execute designs from concept through to final production while adhering to deadlines and client specifications.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Visual Information Designer, you will support the development and execution of design projects for a defense public affairs contract. You will collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external vendors to deliver high-quality design solutions that meet communication objectives and organizational needs.

Required Skills and Experience



  • Motivated candidates with extensive communications, public affairs and program management experience to support a defense public affairs contract.
  • Demonstrated creative graphic design and layout skills, creative services skills, be customer focused, show flexibility and attention to detail, be deadline-oriented, use desktop publishing tools and demonstrated ability to manage challenging customer service issues.
  • Experience in illustrating concepts by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts, obtaining approval of concept by submitting rough layout for approval, preparing finished copy and art for production and printing.
  • Ability to prepare final layouts by marking and pasting up finished copy and art.
  • Experience completing projects that require coordinating with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc.
  • Must have experience in gathering information and materials, as well as planning concepts by studying information and materials, managing workflow and scheduling.
  • Understanding of 508 compliance.
  • Understanding of the Associated Press style guide.
  • Understanding of MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Develop visual information and graphic art products for a variety of mediums to include: various print, exhibit, web-page design, digital audio/video, and on-line media.
  • Design and develop visual information and graphic art products, with knowledge and capability of running graphic production equipment.
  • Command event design support, including exhibit planning and designing.
  • Photography support as required.
  • Expert in designing and developing visual information and graphic art products with demonstrated knowledge and capable of running graphic production equipment.
  • Expert in the following software applications: Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud Production Premium, OR Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and After Effects.


Education



  • Bachelor's Degree in fine arts, communications, graphic design or animation OR the following type of work experience: Seven (7) years of related experience in developing visual information and graphic art products for various print, exhibit, web-page design, digital audio/video, and on-line media.


Clearance Requirements

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Work Location: Remote - VA

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $120,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
