Responsibilities

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our Urgent Care team. This role is ideal for a quick-thinking, adaptable CMA who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about providing excellent patient care. As a member of the Urgent Care team, you will support healthcare providers in delivering efficient, high-quality care to patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient assessments, procedures, and treatments.
  • Record patient histories, symptoms, and vital signs accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Prepare and stock exam rooms, ensuring all equipment and supplies are ready for use.
  • Administer medications and injections as ordered by providers.
  • Perform basic lab work, including blood draws, urinalysis, and point-of-care testing.
  • Educate patients on discharge instructions, medication guidelines, and follow-up care.
  • Assist with patient calls and manage patient flow efficiently.
  • Maintain compliance with infection control protocols, safety standards, and HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) diploma from an accredited program or apprenticeship track. Current national certification.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Previous experience in urgent care, emergency care, or a fast-paced clinical setting is preferred.
