Your Impact

As a Senior Manager, Software Engineering you will use your expertise to guide and support your team to develop and successfully implement complex software solutions. As a technical expert, you'll support your team throughout the software development process. Additionally, you'll personally develop and deliver code modules and stable application systems, contributing to integrated software solutions across a variety of computing environments. The primary purpose of this role is to lead the engineering team in the design, development, configuration, testing, and ongoing improvements required to deliver state-of-the-art mobile application experiences. This includes overseeing the implementation and maintenance of business and enterprise software solutions to ensure the successful deployment of mobile applications. The role involves mobile application development, building solutions, and working with technologies such as Android, Kotlin, and Go. Additionally, this role is responsible for providing insights and recommendations to inform the roadmap and overall health and care of the larger portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads a team, manages performance, and fosters an inclusive environment.

  • Oversees design, build, and maintenance of technology solutions; ensures best practices and code quality.

  • Builds backend applications and mobile device management using Kotlin and Go; delivers products and observability tools.

  • Align with internal customers, third-party vendors, and senior management; resolves escalated issues.

  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and resources; ensures adherence to company policies and standards.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8 years of IT experience in software engineering or related field

  • 8 years of experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of software development life cycles (SDLC)

  • 3 years of experience leading project or technical teams with or without formal direct report responsibility; this includes experience providing technical direction, thought leadership, and coaching and mentoring team members

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems (CIS), or related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree)

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • 5 years of experience in software development in an agile environment and working with third-party vendors/software solution providers

  • 5 years of experience working in an IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework

  • 3 years of experience in IT management in the retail industry

  • 3 years of experience in an IT role requiring interaction with senior leadership

  • Master's degree in computer science, CIS, or related field

Pay Range: $126,200.00 - $239,800.00 annually Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
