OverviewAzure Edge+Platform [E+P] is responsible for Microsoft's Operating Systems, IoT and Edge products, Engineering Systems, and Health Platforms that span cloud-to-edge and edge-to-cloud. E+P is the platform team for the company and the foundation upon which virtually every Microsoft product and service, like Azure, Xbox, HoloLens, Visual Studio, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Teams, is built. E+P products and services enable engineers to build out, deploy, manage, monitor, and secure Azure, Windows, and the rest of Microsoft. Additionally, E+P is responsible for several multibillion-dollar businesses of its own including Windows and Azure Monitor. E+P's mission is to empower every person and organization on the planet to achieve more, meeting them where they live, work, and make decisions - at the edge.Engineering Systems [ES] is a team in Azure Edge+Platform that builds and operates the Engineering System for two of the largest businesses at Microsoft: Azure and Windows. We provide our engineers, who work on code ranging from Azure Services to Windows and Linux based products, with tools and services to empower them to deliver world-class quality and secure products, with efficiency and high developer productivity, in a fiscally responsible way. This in turn helps enable Microsoft to deliver more functionality, of higher quality, with better security, and do it faster and more economically.Engineering Systems is driving the tooling and integration of advanced security and compliance features in the Windows Engineering System, to align with the detailed requirements on cybersecurity from governments and partner entities. This role is pivotal in driving the adoption of key cybersecurity initiatives and working across teams to ensure compliance with these growing requirements. By collaborating closely with engineering, security, and compliance teams, you will ensure the seamless development of secure, compliant solutions that meet both regulatory standards and customer needs.As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for defining the product strategy, managing the roadmap, and prioritizing security features based on market requirements and evolving threats. Engaging directly with agencies and partners, you will gather valuable feedback to inform product decisions. Additionally, you will oversee integration and leverage data analytics to monitor and enhance the performance of implemented security measures, ensuring ongoing compliance and robust protection against emerging cyber threats. Responsibilities* Contribute to identifying customers' multiple needs and market opportunities for enhancements or development of multiple feature areas.* Build experiences across multiple feature areas to determine impact, foresee future opportunities, and provide research evidence to determine priorities.* Help distill the vision into a product roadmap and drive business impact across the organization.* Track metrics, identify future-oriented opportunities, and provide clarity on fundamentals of multiple features or feature areas.* Provide thought leadership for questions and challenges from group managers and other leaders, while managing challenging feedback.* Help to define the feature set and partners with Design teams for desired functionality and product vision.* Build trust with a targeted selection of customers and capture feedback.* Embody our Culture and Values | |
