Position Overview

The ICAM Engineer will play a critical role in developing, deploying, and maintaining a comprehensive Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) solution in compliance with federal government policies and regulations. This role requires a deep understanding of ICAM technologies and processes, including authentication, authorization, credentialing, identity lifecycle management, and access control solutions. The ideal candidate will collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure a secure, efficient, and policy-compliant identity management framework.

Responsibilities



  • Design and Implementation: Design, Develop, implement, and maintain ICAM solutions to manage user identities, access, and credentials across multiple systems and platforms including provisioning, authentication, and access management on AWS environment.
  • System Development: Participate in system development, including design, modeling, security, integration, and formal testing of ICAM solutions. Develop and enforce policies and processes that align with federal standards and regulations, including FICAM (Federal Identity, Credential, and Access Management).
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for ICAM systems and processes. Generate and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, standard operating procedures, and system architecture diagrams.
  • Support and Maintenance: Provide operational support for ICAM solutions, including troubleshooting and resolving issues. Monitor and analyze ICAM system performance, recommending improvements or modifications as necessary.
  • Compliance: Ensure ICAM systems comply with relevant policies, standards, and regulations.
  • Collaboration: Work with other IT teams to integrate ICAM solutions with existing systems and applications.
  • Support identity federation and integration initiatives, ensuring interoperability with partner and government agency systems
  • Troubleshoot, resolve, and report on issues related to identity and access management.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to assess risks and implement robust identity security measures.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in identity and access management technologies, industry best practices, and emerging trends.


Required Skills and Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant experience may be substituted for education requirements.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in identity management, authentication, authorization, or related fields.
  • Experience with ICAM systems and tools, such as LDAP, SAML, OpenID Connect, OAuth, PIV/CAC cards, etc.]. Proficiency in IAM tools like SailPoint, Ping identity and Raidant Logic. cloud technologies (AWS), and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
  • Familiarity with federal ICAM requirements and frameworks (e.g., FIPS 201, NIST 800-63).
  • Strong knowledge of security protocols, encryption standards, and identity federation concepts.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or
  • Prior experience supporting government ICAM initiatives.


Clearance Requirements

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Work Location: United States - Remote

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $132,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
