Summary

Florida Health Care Plans, a large multi-specialty staff model HMO is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, (PMHNP) to join one of our Daytona Beach facilities located at 330 N. Clyde Morris Blvd. Office hours are flexible, outpatient only, no weekends. Some of our larger multi-specialty hubs offer Behavioral Health, Cardiology, Diabetes Education, Endocrinology, Infusion Clinic, Lab, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Primary Care, Pharmacy, Sports Medicine, Ultrasound and X-ray all onsite.

Qualifications



  • Minimum 2 years' experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Currently holds a Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner license
  • Experience in Addiction and Mental Health
  • Motivational Interviewing experience
  • Knowledge of mental health diagnoses and/or substance abuse dual diagnoses.
  • Treatment planning
  • Ability to conduct and utilize comprehensive assessments
  • Timely and quality documentation; experience with EMR (Epic a plus)
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.

  • Special Projects functions.
  • Promotes positive patient relations.
  • Performs as an effective team member.
  • Assumes responsibility for professional growth and accountability.
  • Documentation.
  • Acts as a liaison.
  • Develops and implements psychoeducational program.
  • Assist the Physician Director with tasks and policy and procedures of the Department.
  • Provides responsible and accountable professional care according to legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Engages in collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues.
  • Applies principles of leadership.
  • Performance evaluation.
  • Team based approach, including full scope of support staff with tenured Psychiatrists, PMHNPs, therapists, crisis intervention team, intensive outreach program, and addiction services.
  • Monitor patients' medication usage, side effects, and results.
  • Educate patients and family members about mental health conditions, treatment plans, and medications.
  • Outpatient only
  • Limited call
